STATUTORY CONSUMER RIGHTS

This Returns & Refunds Policy operates in addition to your rights under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago, including the Consumer Affairs Act and Sale of Goods Act.

Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Where this Policy conflicts with applicable law, the law shall prevail.

Standard Timeframes (Single, Consistent Rule)

Unless otherwise required by law:

  • Returns, refunds, or replacement requests must be initiated within 30 days of delivery.
  • Cancellation requests must be made before an order is shipped.

Different timelines apply only where mandated by law or expressly stated in writing by CaribMarketHub.

ELIGIBILITY FOR RETURNS

You may be entitled to a return, replacement, or refund where products are:

  • Defective;
  • Not as described;
  • Unfit for their intended purpose.

To qualify:

  • Items must be unused, except where the defect would not have been discoverable without use;
  • Items must be returned in original packaging where reasonably possible;
  • Proof of purchase is required.

Non-Returnable Items (Unless Required by Law)

The following items are not eligible for return or refund, except where required under applicable consumer law:

  • Clearance, final-sale, or discontinued items
  • Custom-made, special-order, or configured products
  • Hygiene-sensitive items once opened (e.g. medical supplies, personal protective equipment, wearable safety gear)
  • Electronic items that have been activated, registered, installed, or show signs of use
  • Products damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or unauthorized modification
  • Items seized, rejected, delayed, or prohibited by customs or regulatory authorities in the destination country

Condition Standards (With Examples)

Returned items must be in resalable condition, meaning:

  • No physical damage, excessive wear, or missing components;
  • Original manufacturer packaging, labels, manuals, and accessories included;
  • No signs of installation, activation, or contamination.

Examples of non-resalable condition include:

  • Electronics with broken seals or altered serial numbers;
  • Safety or medical items with opened sterile packaging;
  • Products returned with missing cables, manuals, or components.

CaribMarketHub reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these standards.

Change-of-Mind Returns

CaribMarketHub does not generally offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases.
However, discretionary returns may be approved on a case-by-case basis and may:

  • Be subject to a restocking fee of up to 10%;
  • Exclude original shipping, handling, customs, and clearance costs.

Approval must be obtained in writing before return shipment.

Return Shipping & Risk

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the goods are confirmed to be defective or misdescribed.
  • Risk of loss or damage during return transit remains with the customer until the goods are received and inspected by CaribMarketHub.
  • Customers are strongly advised to use insured and trackable shipping methods.

RETURN PROCESS

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact CaribMarketHub Customer Service within 7 days of delivery;
  2. Provide your order number and reason for return;
  3. Await return authorization and instructions.

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Refunds

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method or store wallet credit, as determined by CaribMarketHub;
  • Processing occurs within a reasonable time after inspection and approval;
  • Shipping fees, customs duties, taxes, and clearance charges are non-refundable, unless required by law.

Refunds may be denied where repair or replacement is reasonably available and legally permissible.

Payment Network Rules
Refunds, chargebacks, reversals, and payment disputes are processed in accordance with applicable card network rules, including those of Visa, and Mastercard. Where such rules mandate specific timelines, documentation, or remedies, those requirements shall prevail to the extent required by the applicable payment network.

International Orders

For international purchases:

  • Customers are responsible for compliance with destination country import laws;
  • CaribMarketHub is not responsible for customs delays, inspections, seizure, or refusal of entry;
  • Orders will not be refunded for items denied entry by foreign authorities, unless required by law.

How to Cancel an Order

If you wish to cancel your order for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible. It is imperative that you contact us within the 48 hours so we may attempt to cancel your order before it is processed and/or shipped.

If an order is processed and cancelled before shipment, a transaction fee 1% of the order total is charged. The balance of the order is refunded.

How do I know if my cancellation request was successfully completed?

We will attempt to process your order cancellation request immediately upon receipt. If your request is successfully completed, a confirmation will be provided to you via email. Please note that if you do not receive a confirmation from CaribMarketHub, we may have already processed and/or shipped your order and are unable to cancel.

Too late to Cancel Order

If there’s no cancel button, your order has already processed and shipped.  Orders cannot be cancelled after shipment. Please see our returns policy.

What happens if my order has already shipped?

Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel your order once it has been processed and/or shipped. Alternatively, items may be returned within 60 days per the terms of our Return Policy. Please note that customers are responsible for all charges associated with the return of goods back to CaribMarketHub.

Why was my order cancelled without my permission?

CaribMarketHub reserves the right to cancel your order for any reason. If your order is cancelled, you will receive a notification via email with alternative options provided, if possible.

Please note that some of the reasons your order may be canceled are:

  • The ordered item cannot be shipped to you due to restrictions by the manufacturer to your country.
  • Additional information needed to process the order was not provided in a timely manner
  • The item has been discontinued or is no longer available

Are there any circumstances where an order cannot be cancelled?
